Terms of Use

Stuff is an independent shopping assistant. It helps prepare the shop; you remain responsible for reviewing and completing the order with the retailer.

Operator

Stuff the Shopping is operated under Suburb Says, ABN 85 982 765 005 (“Stuff”, “we”, “us”).

1. Using Stuff

You may use Stuff to create and share grocery lists, use voice input, save shopping preferences and, where available, ask Stuff to match requested groceries to products shown by a retailer.

You must use Stuff lawfully and must not use it to interfere with, bypass, defeat or circumvent retailer security, access controls, CAPTCHAs or other technical protections.

2. Independent service

Stuff is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or acting as agent for Woolworths, Coles or any other retailer unless we expressly say otherwise. Retailer names and trade marks belong to their respective owners.

Your use of a retailer website, account, loyalty program, trolley, delivery service and checkout remains subject to that retailer’s own terms and policies.

3. Product matching can be wrong

Stuff uses automated matching and may misunderstand a spoken request or select a product, brand, size, quantity or substitute that is not what you intended. You must review the shopping list and retailer trolley/cart before ordering.

Where Stuff is not confident, it may skip an item rather than guess.

4. Prices, specials and availability

Prices, specials, stock, substitutions, delivery fees, minimum-order requirements and product availability are controlled by the retailer and can change at any time. The retailer is the source of truth for the final product, price and order.

5. Checkout and payment

Stuff does not complete checkout or submit payment on your behalf. You complete the transaction with the retailer. Stuff does not ask you to provide retailer passwords or payment-card details to Stuff.

6. Restricted products

During the beta, Stuff does not automatically match or add alcohol, tobacco, nicotine, vaping products or other age-restricted products to a retailer trolley/cart. If an item is blocked, you can deal with it directly with the retailer subject to the retailer’s rules and applicable law.

7. Retailer changes

Retailer connectivity currently depends on retailer website behaviour and may stop working, change or become unavailable without notice. Stuff may fall back to opening the retailer site rather than completing an automated handoff.

We may change, suspend or remove a retailer feature if needed for security, reliability, legal compliance or because the retailer changes its service.

8. Accounts and households

You are responsible for protecting your Stuff account credentials and for activity under your account. If you join a household, other household members may see and change the shared shopping list. Only invite people you trust.

9. Service availability

We aim to keep Stuff useful and reliable but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Voice processing, retailer websites, internet access and third-party services can fail or be unavailable.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law where applicable.

To the extent permitted by law, Stuff is not responsible for retailer acts or omissions, retailer product information, pricing or availability, or loss caused by a user ordering without reviewing the retailer cart/trolley. Where our liability can lawfully be limited, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes and applicable law

We may update these terms as Stuff evolves. The current version will be published at this address. These terms are subject to applicable Australian law.
